Full Proposal
Your permission is kindly sought to carry out the following work on a rear garden 25m tall x 1m diameter, Oak tree. It's had some work to it in years gone by, but we now wish to:- remove a 4m long branch on the tree's southern side, being about 48cm in diameter, 3m up its trunk. Its removal would far better balance the tree's lower regions, having been tip-pruned before. Also, remove epicormic growth up to 4m on the tree's western side, with maximum pruning cuts to be 150mm. Further on that side, 2.5m up, remove a 100mm diameter x 4m long branch, together with a 6m long one, being 125mm in diameter, 4m up the trunk. Again, this would improve the tree's balance, without any of the work harming its health, or lessening its amenity value (these aspects not even being visible from the roadside). Submitted for your consideration please.
